7 Things You Need to Know About 'New Moon' Wolf Alex Meraz
Everybody is wondering about Alex Meraz, the new hottie who joined the wolf pack in New Moon. Good thing Celebuzz sat down with his his mentor and friend, actor Raoul Trujillo who gave out all the gory details about this new hunk.

THE DUDE WORKS HARD: Nabbing the key role in Twilight was no fluke for the young actor. "If there's anyone I have known in my life that deserves this, it's Alex," says Trijillo. "He's worked his ass off in the time I have known him. He never lets up."
Beyond staying in top physical shape, the actor-student works hard on honing his craft, including his New Moon audition. "Alex drove from Phoenix to my ranch in New Mexico on his birthday weekend so I could help him with his audition," says Trujillo. "It's about 8 hours each way. But he knew he needed to get this done."
"He's humble," says Trujillo. "And he always showed that he was willing to listen and learn."
Even with those essentials, it took a lot of work, luck and talent to break through.
"New Moon happened to be there at the right time," says Trujillo. "This is his first big break. And what a break to have. This whole thing is a phenomena."
SORRY LADIES, HE'S MARRIED: Alex is madly in love with his Vietnamese-American wife Kim. They have a child named Somak (Trujillo is the god-parent). Kim was the one who was a true Twilight fan.
"His wife is the one who has read all of those books. And she's the one who said look, you have to got to get into this. This is perfect for you. You're the one."
FINALLY, HE'S RIPPED: "I sometimes have to tell him, 'I hate you, put your shirt on,' " says Trujillo.
"He's slender anyways and he has a body that just is that way. He doesn't even really work out because if he works out he gets huge. He's got these shoulders on him. It's from the martial arts and the break dancing. And he's one of those genetically gifted guy."

Kristen Stewart says 'New Moon' more 'tragic' than 'Twilight'
"It’s a different movie, a lot happens," says Stewart of the film in which her character, Bella, suffers the greatest loss of her teenage life: her intense vampire lover, Edward Cullen.
"She loses him, which is certainly a crazy concept for me to accept because that’s the basis for the entire first movie."
"She grows up, quite a bit. She's forced to, and she’s got strength and inner determination. A lot of people in her situation would be like, OK, done."

Celebuzz sat down with casting director Rene Haynes. She talks about the thousands of emails and phone calls she receives everyday from Twilight fans all over the world eversince they found out that she's in charge of casting the native-american wolf pack.

Glenn Beck at 'Twilight': Obama = Edward Cullen???
During his late-afternoon live show today, Glenn Beck Fox News Channel wonder-boy asked his audience if they have seen Twilight. He told the audience it was about Vampires. He used Twilight as a metaphor for Obama's economic policy. According to Beck, "once they get their fangs in the neck, they can't stop sucking." He even altered the Twilight poster by putting Obama's face over Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. 
"The government is full of vampires suck[ing] the life-blood out of the American economy!" said the excitable Beck. (I've seen him tear up on camera, as the Times piece mentions he does on occasion, but today he held back the flow. Maybe because he also said this afternoon he was going to tell us of further outrages that would cause "blood [to] shoot directly out of your eyes!" Does Twilight remind you of your real life and high school, when two people are attracted to each other with such energy?
Yes, although I had really bad luck with girls, the ones I liked hated me and the ones that liked me were not my type. But that’s something that I still go through, I like girls that I shouldn’t like. But I’m learning and now I take my time before I let the girl know.
Do you believe in obsessive love?
Yes, but only from a girl’s point of view. I don’t think men are like that. Not many men read Stephenie Meyer books anyway.
You’re right. That’s what I was going to ask you. Do you believe this story was tailor made for young girls?
Yes, it’s so weird and funny. Afte reading the books I’ve been asking myself why do women act like that, why do they behave like that, especially younger girls. They turn into freaks when it comes to boys. I like nomal girls who don’t pretend to be anything else.
Would like to live forever?
No, although it does have its advantages.
Do you understand the attraction and mystery around vampires?
I’ve never been insterested in vampires, although I understand why they’re so appealing to some people.
How are you handling being the new It Boy, being in so many covers of magazines now all over the world?
I don’t mind, my character is so good and he deserves to be admired. From the moment I signed up for this I knew what I was getting myself into. Edward is a vampire, he’s not a hero like Superman, he’s a vampire in love who wants to be normal.
It took him 90 years for him to find love. Do you believe in love at first sight?
That’s so boring! I think we all have the right to fall in love several times. The conventional idea of love, the idea of being with somebody for the rest of your life and love her forever sounds so silly to me, and so unrealistic. I think you can love ten people at the same time (laughs).
What are your bigest passions?
I’m boring. I like reading, watching movies and playing the piano.
People say you’ll leave Orlando Bloom without work pretty soon…
I don’t think this will happen to me. I don’t want to lose control of my life, I don’t care how much money I’m offered. Well, I’m kidding, actually. Because if I had massive ammounts of money and success, I’d still reach for the same goals and I’d be able to hide better. (TwilightPoison note: his answer sounds very strange, we think he missunderstood the question, or the interviewer’s question was not formulated properly, because it sounds like he thought the interviewer was saying that he’d be the next Orlando Bloom and not find a job after having so much success, not that he would leave Orlando with no other roles. Oh Rob… it was probably not your fault lol.)
What would you be capable of doing for love?
I don’t know, climb a mountain?
Would it scare you to fall in love like the characters in Twilight?
Yes, because it’s an obsessive love, a sick love. When you fall in love and you lose yourself like that. Imagine falling in love like that!
Do you get hit on by difficult women?
I’m crazy about independent women who don’t require too much attention.
Have you ever used the phrase “I’m an actor” as a pick up line?
Not, that phrase doesn’t wok here in LA - everybody is an actor here.
Are you planning on going to college?
Yes, but I’m planning on taking it slowly, probably when I’m 28. As an actor you have to take advantage of the opportunities you get and not letting them pass by.
How did you feel at 17?
I felt increadibly awkward all the time. I’ve always been a very edgy person, especially in those years that I didn’t find my place, everything scared me. I just started reading again my journals from when I was 17….
Do you talk about love in them?
Actually, no. I’ve only been attracted to two women in my whole life.
Do you remember the first time you loved someone?
Yes. It’s weird to enjoy your first love, especially if the relationship lasts a long time. Our relationship was really beautiful, but we didn’t have an obsessive love like in the movie. Her presence in my life made me very happy for three years. Now it’s kind of hard to talk about it.
Tell me about that hair…
I always have weird hair: Harry Potter, this one and Dali.

Ashley Greene Dishes On Twilight Sequel New Moon
Ashley Greene sat down with EntertainmentWise and talked about her role in New Moon, the strong bond between the actors off-screen and how she needs to get into shape again for the role of Alice.

"Compared to the first film it's a much larger part for me, so yeah I'm excited."
"We work long, long days and then get off and go out to eat, or go shopping together, or play music. We all kind of became this close knit family."
And as for other extracurricular activities, Ashley has plans to improve her strength and stamina in readiness for those action scenes.
She says, "They had us do this tap class before [Twilight] so that kind of jolted my memory.

'Twilight' soundtrack: How did those vampire tunes get the charts back in their chilly grip?

The Twilight soundtrack has been languishing toward the bottom of the Billboard 200's top 20 for some time now -- only to leap back with preternatural speed and agility to No. 3 this week. How'd it swing that? First, a special edition of the soundtrack came out, with bonus goodies including a live clip of that one Iron & Wine song, the music video for Paramore's "Decode," an interview with Paramore singer Hayley Williams, and, er, a "Beyond the Video" clip for Paramore's "Decode." Oh, and Twilight the movie came out on DVD over the weekend. Those two factors combined were enough to persuade 74,000 fans to buy the soundtrack for the first, second, or Nth time, according to Nielsen SoundScan, beating out everyone else last week but Kelly Clarkson (at No. 1 with 90,000) and U2 (at No. 2). British newcomer joins Twilight
Finally, another Volturi has been casted. According to BBC news, the role of Caius has been filled by Jamie Campbell-Bower, a 20-year old british guy who appeared in RockNRolla and Sweeney Todd.

A 13-year-old boy at a Des Moines school in Iowa bit 13 of his classmates between February 10-March 13. According to reports, his blaming his weird behavior on Twilight. Looks like the boy took the movie literally.

McCombs [Middle School] Vice Principal Connie Sloan investigated the incident and found that the boy had bitten 10 other students. Jonas Brothers ‘Blown Away’ By ‘Twilight’
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Kevin Jonas told Access that he was blown away by Twilight when he watched the vampire flick. 
“I just recently saw the first one, actually,” Kevin Jonas told Access Hollywood at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. “I watched it on the plane and it was really good. I was blown away.”Source: Access Hollywood

MoviesOnline sat down with Kristen Stewart to talk about her new movie "Adventureland" coming on April 3rd.
Here’s what the super talented Kristen Stewart had to tell us about “Adventureland” and her upcoming projects:
MoviesOnline: Kristen, can you tell me what you're wearing?
Kristen Stewart: Oh, I don't know. I would. I'm not being secretive about it. I just don't know. I just saw it and went, 'I like that.'
MoviesOnline: So a stylist didn't do this?
Kristen Stewart: Oh, no. I saw it on a rack and said, 'Yeah. I'll wear that.'
MoviesOnline: Is it weird to get asked fashion questions about what you’re wearing all the time?
Kristen Stewart: Yeah, it is so weird for me because it's not something that I think about a whole lot and it’s such a large aspect of that area of media. It's weird.
MoviesOnline: Did Greg [Mottola] tell you if your character was based on someone that he knew?
Kristen Stewart: I think that she was based somewhat on compiled girlfriends of his in the past, a melding of a couple of different people, failed relationships with girls who were kind of damaged, but not a specific person. So it wasn't one relationship that he had in the movie.
MoviesOnline: Did you know anyone like her growing up?
Kristen Stewart: I never met a terribly introverted and damaged girl at a theme park in the '80's.
MoviesOnline: But did you base the character on someone that you knew or could you relate to her?
Kristen Stewart: I mean, I related to her because I like characters that are written that are whole, that doesn't feel like…[where] it's easy to tell what would be right and wrong and how they would feel about something because they're very defined. It's not like they’re just a place holder. I'm not like the girl in the movie. She's a real person. So, I got all my inspiration from her. I could imagine what it would be like to not like yourself very much and not have a mom and not have a dad to reassure you and sort of be kicking it alone and feel like you're sort of smarter than everyone but no one gets it. I get all of that. Then the masochist aspects girls are good at so I can relate on that level.
MoviesOnline: What's your take on her dating such an older guy?
Kristen Stewart: I don't think she's too excited about. I think it's masochistic, like I said. It's an outlet for her and it's just something that she can go do and it's mindless and it's like she has this void and it's not necessarily being filled by that, but it's a distraction. She's not proud of it. That sounds like she probably went to school and was like, 'I'm dating this guy and he's totally cool.' She's not doing that. She's ashamed of it. She doesn't tell people about it. It's obviously not something that she's too excited about, but she keeps doing it.
MoviesOnline: Was it fun playing a character like that that’s rebellious and does that kind of thing?
Kristen Stewart: Yeah. I think that was more about her dad getting to know that she was actually a real person and not just a little girl, that your little girl is going to grow up into a woman that does things for her own good, makes her own personal choices that wouldn't necessarily coincide with his. She's a grownup now and that's hard for a dad to deal with. But I think she may have actually really liked that guy. It seemed like that funeral thing was actually genuine. She wasn't just there to piss her dad off.
MoviesOnline: Is there anything from the era of the '80's that you love?
Kristen Stewart: I like a lot of music. I like the sort of alternative music. I'm not too into 'Rock Me Amadeus'.
MoviesOnline: When you read a script, what makes you either want to do it or not?
Kristen Stewart: 'This is going to be a great movie. They are obviously going in the right direction…in choosing me.' [laughs]
MoviesOnline: What was the most fun scene that you got to shoot, the bumper cars?
Kristen Stewart: God. I didn't think that was very fun.
MoviesOnline: When you weren't shooting, did you get to play around on the rides?
Kristen Stewart: We weren't allowed to go on the rides until the end and then they stuck us on the most dangerous, rickety old ride that they had at the park and that was the one ride that we got to ride. We did it like fifteen times though.

Twilight Star on Ted Casablanca's Blind Vice
Another rumor for the New Moon cast. But the difference this time is, they're not naming names. Ted Casablanca of E! online actually made it a blind item. As mentioned in the article below, a twilight star is getting cozzy with a very, very hunky, scruffy and studly guy. So who is this guy? Kellan is studly but not scruffy. Jackson is not scruffy nor studly. Taylor is studly but not scruffy as well. It can't be Peter because he's married to Jennie Garth. So that only leaves Rob. And we all know that he is definitely scruffy and a total stud.

TBS has had quite the rocky relationship with another dude, who's not a member of the megafranchise. It's been very hot-cold, even though the Cupid troubles have completely flown under the press's radar (save for mine). And this guy is pretty recognizable, too.
Either way, it's caused our poor babe angst 'cause so many games are being played with her head. So intensely, too.
And you know that kind of body language I'm talkin' about, don't you? Classically angsty, Twilight-style lovemaking—hold me supertight (for hours), but that's it, stop there, nothing more...for now.
Truly Mormon kinda masochistic fooling around. In other words: Let's just torture ourselves for now and not give in to what we really want to do, which is to totally bone each other until Twilight isn't hauling in any more money!
So what's a girl to do? I say it's time to split from the current on-again, off-again guy and find yourself the real deal, babe. Like, maybe the affectionate hottie who's filming right next to you?
