According to TheNumbers.com, the Twilight DVD has now sold 6,027,815 copies in the U.S. alone giving them a whopping $108,319,836 in total sales since its release two weeks ago. The Twilight DVD is still the number 1 selling DVD of 2009 beating Madagascar 2 which sold 4,950,395 copies.
The Twilight DVD is also dominating the UK by selling 211,031 units on its first day of release according to Variety. According to E1 Entertainment, which owns DVD distribution rights in the U.K. and Ireland, said DVD and Blu-ray sales made the film the third biggest opener of the year so far, trailing "High School Musical 3" and "Quantum of Solace." The release also drew the largest opening-day numbers for E1, according to the company.
